Interactive Graphics means the Playback Operator or even the Actor can control the graphic's timing per script beats.Actors love having the flexibility of a dynamic computer screen that responds to the dialog, adding realism and drama. Not all graphics have to be interactive, in fact, in a number of cases autonomously playing computer graphics are the best solution. We create those as well, building in pauses and loops as the script requires.
Symbient creates playback graphics for BOTH Macintosh and Windows computer formats. Either platform isn't a problem for us, but special care must be taken to consider the differences between the two platforms when preparing graphics. A Common Display Resolution is needed if a graphic is to be played back on both computers using the same file. Not all Windows and Mac share common display resolutions, so some research is needed in these special cases. We are here to help you through this problem solving procedure.
Tablets and mobile phones have become an increasingly integral part of scripts over the last few years. Symbient creates content used on set for First Unit playback for Android, iOS, Blackberry, Flip phones - all formats and more commonly for BURN-INS. More and more, these portable devices have found their way in front of the camera in leading crime dramas and movies. We work closely with the visual FX department when creating graphic elements for Post-Production. BURN-INS require a completely different method of file creation and delivery, so knowing in ADVANCE a graphic is for BURN-IN can save you time and money.
Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.
